These colors are shown on oak wood samples. All hardwoods have their own unique grain patterns, and some accept stain more readily than others. These colors will look very different on other types of wood. It is always best to discuss wood type and colors with one of our experienced staff. We can provide wood samples upon request. You may also send photos of your own wood samples to us.

They are designed to sit on the outside of the cage, placed between two pieces of glass, either acrylic or tempered glass.
Both Single & Double Cage Backgrounds Available! Call for prices. Tempered Glass When our customers want a fixed glass panel on a section of our cage, we recommend and will install tempered glass. Because birds have access to these panels you will want to use tempered, it will always be clear. It is a safety glass and will not scratch and get the little scuff marks in it like acrylics do, especially with birds hitting it with their toys. Over time, acrylics will get a dull or dirty look and that cannot be removed. Tempered is a superior material over acrylics. Tempered glass is the preferred choice by the NBA, NCAA and most gymnasiums to be used as basketball backboards, because of its strength and clarity. Any panel of a bird cage can be replaced with tempered glass. Perches Our perches come from the Maclura Pomifera tree. These trees are the most decay resistant of all North American timbers, and are immune to termites. The structural quality's of the wood is so hard, they provided most of the posts for the wire that fenced the West. Given the hardness of the wood, we have found they make excellent perches for even the largest birds. The bark on the outer edge also gives the birds a more comfortable grip and is better for their feet than some of the slicker type perches. These perches should last a very long time
